Three weeks left!!

I have submitted my last big paper for school. I am creating a portfolio which i apparently not new to the workforce, but to nursing professionals. I have been reflecting on past experiences, showcasing my critical thinking abilities and applying Benner’s stages to practice.

It is eye opening to see the transition from novice nurse to expert nurse. I knew I would attain expert status but I am ultimately two years ahead of schedule. This is great because I am about eight years behind in my working career. More on that later.

I am currently waiting to hear back from the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing /www.nursing.upenn.edu as I have applied to the Master’s of Science in Nursing for Healthcare Administration. I believe I have improved my GPA from 1.5, more on that later, to about a 3.7. I think that is awesome.

Working as nurse is wonderful, more men should join the profession. I know there are feelings about being a nurse, but when you graduate and take a job making around $60k plus benefits and can leave work at work that is pretty good.

Well, this is my first posting and I wanted to see how it felt.
